You know I am all about female empowerment and the Orlando Women of the Year Breakfast was exactly that!
The Orlando Women of the Year Breakfast hosted by Orlando Magazine recognized 23 incredible women from Orlando. These ladies are making positive changes and truly impacting the community for the better. I was so grateful to be given the chance to support them at this breakfast.
It was a beautiful day at the Alfond Inn, which is in Winter Park. The charm and art all throughout this hotel was exquisite. I could’ve walked around and admired all of the decor for the entire day. Not only that but the service and people who worked at the Alfond was exceptional. The food was fresh and beautifully prepared. They had fresh squeezed orange juice, mimosas and champagne to enjoy which was the perfect touch!
Each of the ladies was introduced and their story was shared to all of us in the room. Frankly, it was inspiring! To see the things that these women have accomplished just set a fire in my soul to do more and do better. These are the kind of ladies you want to surround yourself with. Learn all about the women here!
I also enjoyed the hosts of the event. One was Tammie Fields of Spectrum News 13 and the other was Mary Gardner. They both shared some of their amazing talent up on that stage. Mary Gardner gave us an entire lesson on how to give the proper handshake and how to speak with authority. She had some great wisdom and knowledge to share. We even got to practice which made for a great ice breaker!
I loved the opportunity to mingle with the attendees. I was able to chat with many of the honorees and they had so much to share. Let me tell you, there was a large handful of educators and women who impact the lives of children in that room!
Now let’s talk swag! Orlando Magazine had fantastic swag bags for everybody. It was filled with the Pipoca Popcorn (so delish! Try the caramel flavor and mix it with the cheddar for a Chicago mix!), Eyebobs merch, EOS lip balm and more! There was even a voucher in there for a free class with the Orlando Ballet. You know I’m going to be all over that!
Overall this was an exceptional event. It is so great to know that Orlando is filled with such talented women. They are making strides in our community and making this one of the best cities in the entire United States- I truly believe that!
Thank you to Orlando Magazine for hosting and having me. Cheers to all of the fabulous ladies who were recognized!
